Web Browsers for your Mobile

Usually every GPRS enabled mobile comes with an embedded web browsers.However they are just vanilla flavored browsers which offer only basic web browsing.You may not be able to browse your bank’s site just because it doesn’t offer encryption.In this web 2.0 era everybody wants to work on Internet seamlessly independent of the device used ,i.e. any web page should look, feel and work in the same way in a PC/Laptop or mobile .
Searching for a good mobile web browsers, I came across some very popular browsers like Opera mini and some of the less known like Tea shark.Some of the browsers were paid ones.But here I have listed only Freely available browsers.

  • TeaShark-Presently in beta ,this promises general features like-zoom,landscape viewing,history,bookmark management and some advanced features like tabbed browsing,bookmark grouping using colour tags and text selection.Available freely for  any Java enabled mobile.You can download it here.
  • NetFront™ -Looks like an advance mobile web browser.Offers tabbed browsing and RSS support apart from basic features.A must download browser.Check out the features and download here.
  • Opera Mini-The mobile version of popular browser Opera ,seems to rule the world of mobile web browsers,claiming 20 million users across the world.
  • Skyfire-Still in beta,promises advanced features like watching video.Just waiting for it’s release.If you want to try it now download it here.You can head here for a preview.

Presently I use Opera mini and NetFront occasionally for browsing.What do you use?If you use any other please let me know in comments.
